I’m sure many of you are wondering how to get supply drops fast in Advanced Warfare, because of all the great elite weapon variants you want to get your hands on.
If you’re reading this, it’s likely that you rarely get supply drops and you are finding the process of trying to get them very tedious. However, with this guide I will give you a couple of tips which should help you earn them faster and will cover an alternative way to gain them.
Exploiting the Supply Drop Algorithm…
If you haven’t figured this out for yourself already, every time you die before getting a kill as soon as you join a game or as soon a game starts, it is very likely that you will get a supply drop.
This will not always happen, but you will find that you will be getting A LOT more than a supply drop every 45 minutes, which is the rate that the developers said that you will get supply drops at. Probably every 1 in 2 attempts at doing this, you will get a supply drop, so it’s definitely worth a shot if you’re desperate for supply drops and don’t mind racking up a few extra deaths as a result.
Remember, this will NOT work if you get a kill before getting a death.
This is clearly a little hole in the algorithm of how you get supply drops, so it may be patched in the near future!
You Can Now Buy Advanced Supply Drops!
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has been updated to include the option of being able to buy ‘Advanced Supply Drops’, which are exactly the same as supply drops, but they just have a higher chance of containing better gear!
In fact, they always contain 3 items, one of which is guaranteed to be a weapon variant and one of which is guaranteed to be professional or better, so you’re always going to get something at least fairly decent.
Unfortunately, these supply drops aren’t exactly cheap…
- A single supply drop costs $1.99
- A bundle of three supply drops costs $5.99
- A bundle of five supply drops costs $9.99, but you can an additional one for no additional expense.
- Finally, you can buy a bundle of 10 supply drops for $19.99, but you also get an additional three supply drops for no additional expense.
In a nutshell, ten supply drops costs half the price of the game… A little bit pricey? On the other hand, if they were relatively cheap, nearly everybody would be buying them and you would see nearly everyone with the ‘Obsidian Steed’ or the ‘AK12 R.I.P’ and nothing would be that special.
This is definitely the easiest way how to get supply drops fast in Advanced Warfare if you are prepared to invest a bit of money into doing so. Personally, I don’t like how you can buy supply drops much, as I think it ruins the game, so I won’t be buying any.
Here is a video of Ali-A doing a massive supply drop opening, so you can see for yourself what type of gear you can expect. Just remember, he has 100 of them, so that costed around $160 or so…
