GTA Five Review – GTA V (Grand Theft Auto 5) , developed by RockStar North and published by RockStar Games is without doubt, the best Grand Theft Auto in the series and a revolutionary free-roaming game, as it allows an extremely enjoyable experience, with a greater variety of things to do than any other game that I’ve ever played. It was released on September 17th, 2013 to the consoles Xbox 360 and PS3 and is possibly to be released on the next-gen consoles in the upcoming future.
Whilst GTA Five provides an amazing, action-packed story mode, it is also a realistic perception of some things that take place in the darker side of American culture, which makes the experience even more enjoyable, whilst knowing that when you are wrecking havoc on the game that stuff like that actually happens! (well, most of it…) The story revolves around a few different characters, 3 of which you get to play as and all of which come from very different states of backgrounds.
Franklin Clinton, for example, as you can see as the front person in the image, comes from a relatively poor background and gets dragged into the life of drugs and violence, as he meets one of the other main characters, Michael De Santa, who was a retired criminal and now lives with his wife, Amanda and his two kids. The other main character, Trevor Phillips, is linked to Michael as they robbed banks together back in the day – he is a drug abusive nutter who never withdrew from the business and the three characters meet and the story develops rather interestingly…
You Haven’t Seen Variety in a Game Till You’ve Played GTA Five
GTA Five is without doubt the most controversial game that I have ever played, for the gameplay varies from playing a casual game of tennis, to hijacking tanks – purely from that statement, I’m sure you’re starting to get a rough idea that GTA five is no ordinary game…
A Very Entertaining Multiplayer
The first hour ofmultiplayer is more or less a tutorial and introduces you to shooting, driving and taking jobs, which you probably had all experienced during the intercourse of the story mode. After that, you are more or less free to do whatever you want and there is an even greater variety of things to do than there is on story mode. GTA Five is not a game you can easily get bored on. Like the story mode, you can also acquire missions on multiplayer which typically are divided into three categories:
- Objective based missions – these can be things such as smuggling drugs from one place to another with other players on your tail and are personally my very type of missions of GTA Five, due to them being very original and entertaining. They are great to play with friends for a good laugh as you attempt to blow each others cars up, causing great intensity.
Other than that, you can go freely roaming around the massive free-for-all multiplayer, robbing banks, performing gang attacks, hunting deer or wrecking havoc in tanks – the limit is your imagination. You can also visit the various shops around the town where you can purchase a wide range of weaponry, clothes and vehicles, which can be great assets to missions and will give you advantages against other players if you have the best equipment.
Grand Theft Auto V was the most financially successful game of 2013 making an extremely high amount of sales, smashing all competition, even the likes of Call of Duty: Ghosts and Battlefield 4, earning more profits than any other game before. The combination of a brilliant, funny and entertaining story mode and an extremely controversial multiplayer with an unlimited amount of things to do, allows you to experience hours of enjoyment whilst playing the game. Even if you have played the game since it’s release up until now, you’ll probably still not be bored with it! To conclude my GTA Five Review, I would like to state that it is a revolutionary game and certainly the best in the series, ultimately making it one of the best ever free-roaming games of all time. Despite the frequent glitches in multiplayer which still occur today, interest in the game is a sensation you experience endlessly, no matter how long you’ve played it.
